Massive Fire SW of Denver Still Burning

A massive fire that started Monday continued to burn into Tuesday night in Jefferson County, southwest of Denver. According to a Twitter account associated with the Colorado National Guard, fire containment operations were called for the night at 7:30 PM on Tuesday. The fire has already burned through 4,500 acres, destroying 23 homes and killing at least two. Another victim is unaccounted for, officials said. There were 200 firefighters working to control the blaze on Tuesday, and another 200 are expected to join the team on Wednesday, with crews coming in from across the western US.
