Colorado Springs Man Carjacked by Hitchhikers

A Colorado Springs man was carjacked last week after giving a ride to four people he didn't know. According to police, the man gave the group a ride in his 1998 maroon Dodge Durango to the 4100 block of East Pikes Peak Ave., when the criminals struck him on the head, threw him out of the vehicle and sped off. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and released. Police described one of the suspects as a black man between 28 and 32 with a medium build and black hair. Another was described as a 6-foot-tall black man wearing an army jacket. The other two in the group were a 28-year old black woman and a white woman.
